Ouachita Parish Contacts

This page routes questions to the Ouachita Parish office that can answer them. Custody, release, booking records, police reports, and court outcomes belong to different record holders. Using the right contact first can prevent delay.

This is not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, retrieve a record, change a roster, or respond for OPSO, OCC, a police department, or a court.

Custody and Booking Contacts

For current OCC custody or an Ouachita Parish booking document, contact the agency that maintains the record.

Where Each Question Belongs

Route the request by the kind of answer needed.

  • Current local custody or release: Ouachita Correctional Center or OPSO.
  • Booking summary or booking photograph: OPSO Records Division.
  • Police incident report: the arresting police department or OPSO.
  • Filed charges, bond order, dismissal, plea, or judgment: the proper city court or Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court.
  • State-prison custody: Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
  • Federal or immigration detention: the responsible federal locator or agency.

Monroe Area Record Paths

Monroe Police arrests can lead to OCC for booking, while the police department may retain the incident report. Monroe City Court handles city ordinance and misdemeanor matters within its jurisdiction. West Monroe Police and its city court keep separate city records. Richwood requests may begin with the town or police department, while Mayor's Court handles its assigned matters. A missing record at one office does not establish that no arrest or case exists.
